From fusion dumplings to tasty AF falafel, Berlin is known as the best city in Europe for vegans.

And with over 450 restaurants boasting vegan goodies, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Berlin is also the birthplace of Europe’s first vegan supermarket, Veganz.

No trip to Berlin is complete without a visit to the East Side Gallery.

Essentially an open-air gallery in the city, this remnant of the Berlin Wall is over 1,300 metres long and features amazing work from over 100 artists.

TOP TIP:  Swing by early in the morning to get some snaps and appreciate the art while everyone else is still hungover in bed 💁🏻

3. Check out the Oberbaum Bridge

Built in 1895 to link the two Berlin districts Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain together, the Oberbaum Bridge is an impressive piece of architecture in the heart of the city.

You can walk across the double-decker bridge, or if you’re feeling lazy there’s always the car and Metro options.

It’s also the perfect spot for your next Instagram post 😎

One of Germany’s most famous historical landmarks and the current home of the German parliament, the Reichstag is a must-see and must-visit.

Other than getting the chance to learn more about Berlin’s fascinating history, you can also check out the building’s glass dome.

Completed in 1999, the glass dome has won the hearts of travellers and locals alike. Why? Because it offers an epic panoramic view over Berlin #TheresNoPlaceLikeDome

5. Get your burger on at Burgermeister

Burgers. Check. Fries. Check. Toilet. Check. Wait, what?

Yup, a public toilet has been transformed into a hip AF burger joint. No lie. #classicBerlin

Open from midday until the early hours of the morning, there’s never a bad time for a bite to eat from Burgermeister, Berlin’s best burger shack.

Meat not your thing? Fear not, there’s also a yummy tofu burger option to go with those tasty fries.

A must for your list of things to do in Berlin.

6. Head over to the Brandenburg Gate

Google image search Berlin, and chances are the Brandenburg Gate will be in 50% of the results.

Why? Because the Brandenburg Gate is an icon. Now a symbol of unity and peace, it was once a symbol of stark division during the Cold War.

One of the best times to visit is for Berlin’s New Year’s Eve celebrations. Expect music, partying and fireworks all with the backdrop of the Gate 😍

Nope, it’s not just for tourists.

When you’re in Berlin, it’d be rude not to get a mouthful of the capital’s favourite street food.

Our faves? Curry 36 and/or Konnopke’s Imbiss.

Hungry for more? Head to the Currywurst Museum. Yep, it’s a thing.

9. Say cheers to beers

Germany is famous for its awesome beer culture.

Berliner Weisse is the ever-popular choice and you’ll have no trouble finding some throughout the city.

Stuck for ideas? Check out the part-burlesque, part-circus themed bar Zum Starken August for a good time.

The chilled HOME pub or the Vagabund Brauerei pub/brewery are also great options for a quality drink.
