It’s a classic, and for good reason. We’re talking ultimate bucket list stuff right here. Why not watch the ball drop in Times Square? Along with over a million people, you’ll also catch performances from top musicians and see some pretty cool fireworks. But if you don’t wanna be waiting in the cold from 3pm and can’t face the prospect of no bathroom for nine hours, have no fear! There are loads of other options.

Get all glam for the night and head on down to one of New York’s super clubs. Be sure to do your research and book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment on the night. Clubbing not your thang? Cruise over to a local bar or pub and welcome in the New Year with the locals.

Want more? There’ll also be fireworks in Central Park and New York Harbour. Get views of the city and its glittery displays from Brooklyn Bridge or pretty much anywhere by the water for a night to remember.

Shake off that headache and lack of sleep on 1 January by taking part in a Scottish tradition that’s not for the faint hearted. We’re talking about running into the (freezing) water of the Firth of Forth. But, no excuses to not get involved as the event raises money for charities across the UK.
